Brisbane Town Planning Firm, The Planning Place has recently obtained Development Approval for a Material Change of Use for House Extensions and Partial Demolition within a Demolition Control Precinct over the land situated at 26 Days Road, Grange. This application triggered assessment as any new development visible from a street within a Demolition Control Precinct will require Town Planning Assessment against the Brisbane City Plan Character Code in order to maintain the existing amenity of the area. Partial demolition was also triggered as a section of the pre-1946 dwelling was required to be removed as part of the renovations. Partial demolition involves small amounts of demolition located to the sides or rear of a pre-1946 building.
