The Planning Place has successfully obtained approval for Multiple Dwellings (8 Townhouses) at 50 Garfield Road, Logan Central. Located within the Townhouse Precinct of the Low-Medium Density Residential Zone, the approved development will feature eight two-bedroom dwellings that will have an equivalence of 5.6 dwellings. The Townhouse Precinct in particular encourages medium density development in the form of two storey units, so as to further diversify the dwelling options within the area. It was determined that the proposal was in accordance with the density requirements of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015 with an allowable density of 5.7 in the precinct. This will provide the precinct with a maximum net density of 40 equivalent dwellings per hectare which is strongly supported by council (see AO4 of the Low-Medium Density Residential Zone Code).
A full engineering assessment was also provided as part of the development application, outlining that the site is serviced by all necessary infrastructure.
