The Planning Place has recently obtained Preliminary Approval for Dwelling House Extensions on a Small Lot in a Traditional Building Character Overlay at 163 Sackville Street, Greenslopes. 

Currently occupied by a dwelling house, the approved development involves a 6 x 6m hipped styled roof car port located between the dwelling and front boundary, with minor alterations to the entry way to accommodate the extension. A Code Assessable development application was undertaken for the proposed development. As part of the development application, the assessment identified a number of nearby properties to demonstrate precedence of carports and garages with reduced boundary setbacks.

The approved development will not adversely impose on the character or the scale and bulk of the street as the character sensitive design, height and setbacks of the proposed development will be consistent with existing residential development within the street.
